Dong embroidery

Dong embroidery is an intangible cultural heritage of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a traditional craft gathering the weave, printing, paper cutting, and embroidery. Once, it was sent to the guests as a gift of China-ASEAN Expo and exhibited in the Shanghai World Expo. Dong embroidery was exported to England. The style of the Dong embroidery is very special, natural, simplicity, and generous, which can be represented by the Sanlong Dong embroidery. It’s not only the crystallization of wise of the Dong but also the historical culture of the Dong. The design content of Dong embroidery is dominated by flowers, birds and geometric patterns, some of which are also embroidered with architectural patterns by people. Now, the current brocades are created boldly. The patterns of Dong brocade are mostly geometric abstract figures, such as squares, circles, prisms and abstract patterns of other animals.
