Panwang Festival of Yao ethnic group

Panwang (Pan King) Festival is the grandest festival of Yao ethnic group, with a history of more than 1,700 years. Yao people regards the “Pan King” as their ancestor. Panwang Festival is held on the sixteenth lunar day of the tenth lunar month. In Guiping of Guangxi, Yao people wear beautiful national costumes during the festival, singing and dancing, holding the banquet to commemorate the ancestors, celebrate the harvest, and pray for the happiness in the next year.
