Publication time:2020-04-14 17:32:06

Mao’er Mountain is located in the northwest of Xing’an County, 55 km to Xing’an County, 81 km to the downtown of Guilin, across both counties of Xing’an and Ziyuan, and it covers an area of 53,000 hectares. The main peak Yuecheng Peak is one of the Five Ridges. The highest altitude is 2,142 meters and it’s not only the highest peak of Guangxi but also of the southern part of China. The reason why it is called Mao’er Mountain is that the peak of the mountain is similar to the kitten. In 1990, Lu Dingyi praised that the Mao’er Mountain owns “Tai Mountain’s magnificence, Hua Mountain’s precipitousness, Lu Mountain’s silence and Mount Emei’s beauty”.
